Bursa Cement Factory; By adopting the principle of sustainable development at every stage of raw material supply, production and service activities, it continues its environmental activities for the most effective use of natural resources supported by technological innovations.

Within the scope of air pollution control; Reports of the measurements made by accredited institutions, indicating that the legal obligations arising from the environmental legislation are met, are regularly submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. The values read by the continuous emission measurement devices in our chimneys can be monitored instantly by the relevant units in the computer environment.

All processes during production are carried out in a closed system. Clinker is stored in a closed concrete silo and the material collected as a result of the entire filtration process in the facility is recycled into production in a closed system.

New generation bagged and electrofilters with advanced technology are used in all chimney outlets available in the factory. In this context, our instantaneous dust emission concentration value in our main chimneys has been reduced below 10 mg/Nm₃.

Portable filtration equipment has been purchased to clean the debris that causes dust in indoor environments and work has been started.

In the facility where no industrial waste water is generated, our domestic waste water is sent directly to the common treatment facility operated by the cooperative management within the scope of the partnership agreement with the Green Environment Cooperative.

The Waste-Derived Fuel Preparation Facility, which was established in 2011 for the purpose of recycling the wastes into the economy and ensuring energy recovery without harming the environment, provides energy recovery from approximately 35,000 tons of waste with a calorific value annually, and approximately 20,000 tons of fossil fuel (coal) ) saves its use.

A Waste Heat Recovery Facility was established in 2013 to recover the heat released from our chimneys and thrown into the atmosphere. 25% of the electrical energy use of our factory is provided from this facility, thus saving approximately 25,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per year.

With the idea that all our environmental activities can be implemented as an internationally accepted and systematic management method, our production activities are carried out within this scope by obtaining the "TS EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System" certificate.
